Crafts, art and food...mighty good!   L.A. area features several craft shows just in time for your pre-Thanksgiving holiday gift buying. But for those seeking to indulge, check out the food and wine events such as Lodi's first sip.  Located in Central Valley California, be sure to visit their wine trail while there.

BRAWLEY - The Brawley Cattle Call Rodeo. The first two rodeos - in 1957 and 1958 - were amateur competitions. The event went "pro" in 1960 when it was sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Cattle Call Championship Saturday, November 11 Rodeo 2pm & 7pm performances; Finale Rodeo Sunday, November 12- 1pm performance. Location: Cattle Call Arena. BURBANK - Downtown Burbank ARTS Festival. There will be a silent auction of sculpture, painting and photography, as well other opportunities to contribute to the Burbank Arts Education Foundation, a non-profit organization. LODI - The First Sip – Celebrating Lodi’s New Vintage Wines. Attendees will enjoy mingling with the winemakers as they unveil the new 2007 wines with barrel sampling, blending seminars, cellar tours, live entertainment, a host of educational activities and tempting culinary delights. Over 30 Lodi wineries will open their doors for this new Fall wine festival, which runs from 11 AM to 4 PM each day. Ticket  $35 / $45 at the door, includes commemorative tasting glass, event map and admission to all participating wineries. There is no charge for designated drivers. MONTEREY - The Great Wine Escape Weekend. The 11th Annual Great Wine Escape Weekend will be held at locations throughout Monterey County. This hospitality event of the year for Monterey County features over 45 Monterey wineries, local and national celebrity chefs, and the ultimate travel experience in the unparalleled setting of Monterey Wine Country. ROSEVILLE - International Railfair.  International Railfair includes re-creations of American and European railroads ranging from replicas of Union Pacific stretches to European-inspired landscapes with German fachwerk-style buildings. Books, locomotives and gift items sold. A real handcar that roves up and down 80 feet of track is available for operation during this event.
