California Beach Winter Vacations provide
exceptional values for travelers
seeking reduced hotel and resort rates,
more availability in rooms and
suites and less crowds throughout
the state. Winter is the peak season
for mountain vacations, however.
If you like crowds at the
beach, stick
to summer. On a crowded summer day
you can fit in a few major rides at
on of the top
California theme parks after
waiting in line each time. But in
the winter on a vacation escape, you
can hop onto most rides, dine and
enjoy a wide open beach of your
choice. Southern California offers
the warm winter vacation. Northern
California offers a cooler winter
vacation. And not far from
both are the mountains that give
California its winter gold....snow
and skiing.
If you like beaches as your
destination, you best stick to Los
Angeles, Orange and San Diego
Counties for a sunbathing escape.
These beaches generally are best for
the warmest
California Beach vacation.
The Northern California beach have a
reputation of being a bit colder and
not so great for sunbathing, unless
you are flying in from Minnesota and
think it actually feels warm.
For
winter vacations in the mountains,
expect some snow and skiing. There
are many mountain resorts that
typically fill up on weekends after
a decent snow. South Lake Tahoe,
Mammoth and Big Bear are the 3 main
ski attraction areas for winter
resort vacations.
For
winter warm vacations, choose places
like Newport Beach, San Diego, Santa
Monica and Laguna Beach. You'll have
a fantastic time at any of these.
For a reduced price, you can also
stay 15 miles from the beaches in
Anaheim near Disneyland. The winter
prices can't be beat.
So
whatever your passion or pleasure, a
California Winter Vacation is going
to work in your favor.
Oh, by the way, you might want to
experience California like the
locals do. Stay at a warm, Southern
California beach for accommodations,
but go into the mountains to ski for
the day. Extreme boarders find
their pleasure out on the Pacific
Ocean and on the slopes heading
downhill fast. That's what winter's
all about in California.
