California Museums - Museum Information and Photos

 

There are hundreds of museums in California filled with thousands of countless rare and collectible, unique and odd items.  Trains, cars, art, surfing memorabilia, antiques and even cartoon and Hollywood costumes fill the museums that you can visit and enjoy in California. We love museums and are always looking for a new museum to visit at some California town or city destination.  If you think all museums are the same, think twice. Some of the museums in California have displays and cases designed by groups such as Disney imagineering.  Not all museums are created equal.

 

What's clear about the assortment of these collector showcases of rare or interesting items is that those who run them generally have a passion for a subject and take it seriously.  Without their efforts, the public would not have the opportunity to look at rare woven baskets, valuable guns, woodwork equipment, Charley Brown cartoon drawings, life in the 1800's, surfing, classic collector cars, historic trains, the lifestyle of the California regions...on and on.  School children, adults and even little toddlers participate in the museum experience in California. While there's no rocket science to being curious, you will find rocket science in museums such as San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation. 

 

While just about every city in California has a museum, the quality varies markedly. And the focus can range across a broad plain of collections, artifacts and interests.  Some cities are just incredible places to visit fro their museums, and among them are Sacramento.
