August is the
month in California where
you wouldn't have to have
events, but every place
worth visiting would still
be jamming. Californians
love to get out and be
active in the month of
August, typically filled
with sunshine every day and
hardly ever any rain. This
is the month where special
events such as fairs, rodeos
and Renaissance all are
hosted in cities throughout
the state. Burning Man is
one of the best-known events
for its creative bend.
People bring outfits and art
displays that are totally
outrageous and make
statements. It's held in the
hot desert, and expect it to
get even hotter when the
Burnin Man effigy is
torched. Other events
include music outdoors, food
fairs, fishing derbies, and
car shows, to name a few
things you might enjoy. Many
community concerts are held
on village lawns and are
hosted free of charge.
