Most
California Fairs maintain themes to promote
their annual or semi-annual fair events.
From a particular color, fruit, flower or an
era, each fair promotes its event through
advertisements, billboards and press releases.
Flower power and retro-60's hippie style themes
are seen in a picture above for the Orange
County Fair. A bright yellow Volkswagen
decorated with flowers greets guests at the
entry gate where nearly a million people passed
through during the fair's three week run each
July.
