California beach resorts are
as diverse as their geographic
locations. Beach resorts in
California feature sandy beaches,
fire pits, gondola rides and jogging
paths in many locations. San Diego
is the premier beach
resort destination in California if
you go by the numbers.
Choose from properties such as Loews
Coronado Bay Resort, Hotel del
Coronado pictured above, Catamaran Resort Hotel,
Paradise Point Resort and Spa and
Hilton San Diego Resort, offering
beaches on site, conference
facilities, boat rentals and more.
Orange County beach resorts include
Dana Point and Laguna Beach as well
as Newport Beach and Huntington
Beach. One of the loveliest
California Beaches is in Santa
Barbara County which ranks in
the top 10 favorite beach
destinations in the USA. San Luis
Obispo County features many beach
hotels at Pismo Beach and Cambria.
North of that location, the stand
out resorts for Monterey County are
at Pebble Beach, Monterey and
Carmel.
In San Mateo County
south of San Francisco, the next
luxury resort available to
discriminating guests is the
Ritz
Carlton Half Moon Bay. It sits on
verdant cliffs overlooking the
Pacific Ocean with sweeping golf
club greens and steps leading to a
small beach. In San Francisco,
beaches are quite limited though
bays are plentiful. No hotels list
themselves as beach resorts in this
region and we don't see the next one
until we arrive at Bodega Bay where
the Bodega Bay Lodge Resort &
Conference Center sits on a bay next
to hiking trails and the Pacific
Ocean. The scenic beauty of its
location is truly something to
behold and highly recommended for
your next California Beach resort
vacation.
In the
heart of L.A. at Marina del Rey, one of the largest manmade
marinas in the US, is
Ritz Carlton-
Marina del Rey. Its beach is a small intimate beach
you must walk to but the hotel itself is known as an oasis
just a short distance from Los Angeles International
Airport.
California beach resorts are
certainly top choices for California
beach vacations, especially if you
have the resources to enjoy them.
Some are quite affordable. Others
are pricy. You can find out how much
they cost by looking them up on our
hotel section or read about some of
the
California beach front hotels,
many of them resorts and many
offering great views without the
higher cost and extended amenities.
