California Beach Hotels offer a variety of amenities and services to suit many individual needs. From waterfront resorts to affordable hotels and budget inns or motels smack dab on the sand,  California beach hotels feature desirable locations near the Pacific Ocean. Planning a beach vacation is important when you only have limited time to enjoy a getaway. Oceanfront luxury and spectacular views will cost you. Affordable hotels at the beach are easiest to find in the fall and winter months from September through February.  From first-class AAA four-diamond hotels or five diamond resorts to AAA two-diamond budget properties, you can also occasionally find some deals when the hotels have rooms to fill in the off season. We often scan our booking service and scour the beach cities for some specials. The chart below was a difficult chart to create because a hotel can sometimes be at the waterfront with no beach. The hotel may have a bridge that crosses a highway and lands you on the beach. Whenever possible, we've made note of these situations. The main thing to remember is that most beach hotels in California are not priced cheap. If you want less expensive options, go inland where you may have to drive to the beach.
