Many
visitors to Burlingame (home to the San Francisco International Airport)
just assume it's located in San Francisco County. In reality, Burlingame is
a San Mateo County destination that enjoys over 15 million visitors annually
getting of planes at the airport (deplaning).
Burlingame
features a great selection of business and vacation hotels, a wide array of
restaurants and attractions such as the Pez Museum, a funky little place
with great displays of candy dispensers.
Burlingame is
one of the most popular San Francisco Bay Area destinations not only for
business meetings but for vacations because many of the local hotels offer
free shuttle service from the airport to your hotel room. From a spectacular
Four Diamond Hyatt Regency with an atrium court and great event facilities
to a smaller property, Bay Landing Hotel with free wi-fi and a
complimentary, light breakfast, you will discover that Burlingame really is
a hidden gem close to shopping, dining and museums. The beach isn't far away
either. Just 30 to 45 minutes west on the coast you can enjoy Half Moon Bay
and Pacifica, two great beach destinations.
Burlingame is
located on a peninsula overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Many of the
restaurants and hotels enjoy views of that bay that includes a natural
habitat for marine life and birds.
An annual
event that occurs May through November is the Fresh Market - Burlingame. The
