A great day to take a hike in O'Neill Park.

winding, narrow roads shaded by trees lies a wilderness within reach of
Orange County bustle. Trabuco Canyon begins just a mile or so out of the
subdivision housing of nearby cities such as Irvine, Lake Forest and Rancho
Santa Margarita. There's a rustic county park, O'Neill, which offers wilderness
hiking trails, streams and campsites. Opened to the public, it is a favorite
spot for groups such as the Boy Scouts of America. If it weren't
for the sound of craft overhead, you'd forget that freeways, houses and
airports are a stone's throw from the secluded oasis. |

4-year old was mauled in a local wilderness park and while
the lions tend to stick to themselves, it's recommended that you not leave
small children alone in O'Neill.
