Posted by: Beach Reporter In: events

Lindsborg, Kansas Swedish Folk Dancers have traveled to perform in Sweden, Denmark and Russia–and now they’re coming to Orangevale near Sacramento. Approx. 30 high school-aged students who have made a commitment to their Swedish heritage and their community by practicing and performing traditional Swedish folk dance and music in a four year program during their teen years, will bring that passion to California when they wear their festive costumes and perform on July 6 at 3 p.m. Location: Amphitheater, 7301 Filbert Avenue, Orangevale, CA.
The entryway to the dance/parking area is via a long driveway adjacent to the school. The venue is located in a grassy area with some shade available. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. BBQ chicken will be served at 5:00 to those making a reservation to stay afterward for a dinner meal. Please bring something to share for a side dish, and be sure to respond with your intent to stay for dinner to aswede37@hotmail.com. Dinner reservations must be made by July 1st!! This event is organized and presented in our area for your enjoyment by Monitor Lodge No. 218, VASA Order of America, Sacramento, CA. See more events>
