Long Beach’s newest hotel offering, Avia, introduced a new chef to AVIA Kitchen +Lounge. Steven Terrebonne, (translated from French as good earth,) is recognized for his fresh approach to culinary and offerings. As Food and Beverage Supervisor at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, and most recently coming from Marriott Houston where he was awarded top Food & Beverage Program for guest services, the new manager will focus on the popular farm-to-table concept incorporating foods from local farms and favoring seasonal products.
Terrebonne has already begun the task of updating the menu at the Kitchen + Lounge, and has begun developing a garden on property for fresh herbs and small produce items.
AVIA Long Beach, is a 138-rooms & suites boutique that was opened in 2009 as the third in the Wichita, KS-based AVIA collection. In addition to Long Beach, AVIA Hotels are located in Savannah, GA; Napa, CA; and The Woodlands, TX. Weekend rates at the Long Beach hotel can be booked at around $120 for some weekends (we just checked out).
