Monterey Bay Aquarium Family Sleepover with Behind the Scenes Tour

Monterey, California isn’t ALL about the sea, but it certainly takes center stage at Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of the finest aquariums in the world. How would you like to pitch your sleeping bag out for the night, and enjoy snoozing and snoring with the fish? When you wake up in the morning, your eyes pop open to one of the biggest aquariums there is. Camp SEA Lab’s Family Sleepover Night at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on March 21, 2010 invites families with kids, to enjoy this special experience. Fun activities throughout the evening include a special behind-the-scenes tour (a $95 value,) a light bedtime snack followed by songs and games. In the morning when you wake up with fishes and enjoy a continental breakfast in the Portola Restaurant, you’ll be energized for the week ahead. This event is for ages 5 and up, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

For non-campers, just visit and enjoy the aquarium (MontereyBayAquarium.org) and sleep comfortably in Monterey hotels nearby. You can hear sea lions and seals barking in the bay all night during your stay include the Monterey Bay Inn, but there are some beach hotels such as the Monterey Beach Resort that offer great pricing and a nice, sandy beach on site.
