Photos from a Hotel Room Overlooking Santa Barbara Beach

If you need to shake things up a bit, you’ll be amazed by the surprises you’ll find looking out from a hotel room at the beaches in Santa Barbara. The hodge podge of images will astound those trying to soak it all in.
With a room at the Harbor View Inn, a hotel my family has stayed at many times over the decades, this particular 2nd story suite was a window on the world of the beach. Few places offer equally astounding sunrises and sunsets, but Santa Barbara’s got them.
After I checked into my room and stepped out to the balcony, I saw at least 100 activities and points of interest all happening at the same time. Some captured with the photographer’s lens are shown in the photos above: Wheel Fun Bikes peddlers riding their surrey on the paved path on the sand; the State Street sign with artists’ tents set up and shoppers studying the many visual wares for sale; a couple framed by the stately palms as they get their feet wet in the Pacific Ocean; a film crew photographing a pretty girl…read more
