Melting Pot Food Tours of Farmers Market LA & Old Pasadena

Posted by: Beach Reporter In: california| dining

You can go eat your way through the LA Farmers Market, but for $49, a food tour introduces you to some “around the world” foods you might not otherwise check out. Oftentimes you’ll meet the owner, as well, in this 3.5 hour tour that travels on foot approx. 1 mile on flat ground, and stops many times for samplings of chocolates, Tours go Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from around 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and cost around $49 person. Reservations required, as some  events are sold out. The tours conclude back at our original starting point. The food samples along the way are filling enough so that for most people lunch afterwards is not necessary.  Reserve at -MeltingPotTours.com.

Food tastings include signature dishes from:

  • Ethnic eateries (Japanese, French, Brazilian)
  • New York style deli/bakery
  • Doughnut shop
  • Handmade candy kitchen
  • European style bakery
