Los Angeles, Calif.– So you’re heading for California on a winter vacation? Don’t forget to pack your bathing suit–and also bring your ice skates. The holiday ice skating craze has hit the West Coast with more ice rinks than ever to celebrate winter at the beach, and always under the California sun.
If you think California is known for its sandy beaches, then you are correct. But it also is becoming known for its sandy beaches and destinations with ice, as in ice skating.
With ice rinks stretching for San Diego’s sunny shores where you will find not one, but several options at Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, or downtown San Diego at Horton Plaza, to Irvine Spectrum or Buena Park in Orange County, to Los Angeles (Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, Redondo Beach and Long Beach), and San Francisco region (San Jose, Union Square, Walnut Creek and Brentwood) the coast is pretty well covered for holiday ice rinks and ice skating.
While the rest of the nation prides itself in offering the finest winter fun, California is no stranger to ice skating. Some of the finest skaters come from California. Get out and enjoy the winter season at one of California’s seasonal ice rinks.
