Master Lego Builders Turn Miniland USA into Christmas Zone in Carlsbad

U.S. Capitol transform into a Holiday Wonderland at Legoland California in Carlsbad
Carlsbad, Calif.–If seeing a 30 foot Legoland Christmas tree made of Duplo bricks lighting up the night isn’t enough excitement, now the master builders at Legoland Carlsbad have been acting like Santa’s elves, building a tree surrounded by presents in the U.S. Capitol plaza at Miniland USA. They’ve even added green holiday themes to the uniforms of the marching soldiers.
If I hadn’t seen Legoland myself, or hadn’t spent hours building little malls, cars, and people out of Lego bricks, I might not fully appreciate what it takes to create a masterpiece. I was skeptical till I made my first visit to Legoland. Once there, I was forever changed, seeing what my limited skills could have led me to if I had pursued a career in Lego building. They actually have jobs at the theme park in Carlsbad where you build things out of toy blocks for a career.
The master builders say the holidays are one of their favorite seasons and times of year because of all the joy seen on the faces of “kids” of all ages. Read more
