California Holidays: Encintas Fest, San Francisco Pier 39 Tree Lighting

It’s a beautiful day in California. Tis the season of celebrating on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, when you can get in the zone or join in the spirit with many holiday shopping, dining and entertainment events throughout the Golden State. Ranging from what was formerly a poinsettia festival in Encinitas and is now called Fall Festival; to: Mushroom Fair in Eureka; Holiday Art Fair in Fallbrook; and much more, many events are free such as watching Pier 39 bay light up, or San Bernardino tree lighting ceremony. Oh what a special time to enjoy beaches, mountains, and all that’s right about the state.

EUREKA - Mushroom Fair - The Humboldt Bay Mycological Society presents the annual Mushroom Fair at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. FALLBROOK - Holiday Art Faire - Join the wonderful holiday experience on the grounds of Pala Mesa Resort at an upscale local Artists and Artisans event that includes ceramics, pottery, sculptures, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen & ink, fiber art, photography, digital art, jewelry, murals, hand painted ornaments. NAPA - Gifts ‘n Tyme Holiday Faire - This popular event, the Holiday Faire, features 82 booths of fine crafts, art, and gourmet foods. The Greater Napa Valley Lion’s Club again features the home-baked goodies annual sale, plus a full kitchen serving excellent homemade lunches and dinner.
