Trucker’s Christmas Convoy in Humboldt County

Some of California’s greatest holiday parades offer unique themes, with boat parades and street parades prevalent. Humboldt County, home to a number of unique events such as the annual Kinetic Sculpture Race each Memorial Weekend, is the place where you’ll find not one but two holiday parade favorites that are out of the ordinary. Mark your calendar for two exciting parades featuring redwood country’s favorite vehicles–tractors and trucks.
Eureka — Truckers Christmas Convoy this year on December 12, 2009, will include huge trucks adorned with lights. The parade winds through the town with music & horns blaring jingle bells. Thousands of people line the streets of Eureka & delight at the spectacle. The event starts at 6pm at Redwood Acres goes to about 8:30pm. For more holiday events, see redwoods.info
Ferndale — In Ferndale the Christmas Lighted Tractor Parade fires up the John Deere tractors and other farming equipment twinkling with lights for a drive down historic Main street of Ferndale (home to the nation’s tallest living, lit up Christmas Tree!)
