More than 15 tuxedo-clad, handsome men “hunks” converged on Fiamme Restaurant and Bar in Thousand Oaks recently to serve nearly 110 patrons during Meathead Movers’ Girls Night Out, a “Fire Up The Community!” event that raised more than $7,000 for charities.
The “Fire Up The Community” program was started by Fiamme proprietors Liz Beddow and Jerry White to support non-profit organizations throughout the area with their fundraising efforts. To date, the popular restaurant and music venue has helped raise urgently needed funds for local groups including Agoura High School Charger Club, the Boys & Girls Club of Ventura, the Dignity® Memorial Vietnam Wall, the Lilly of the Valley AIDS Organization Mission (Love Fest), the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic, and United Way of Ventura County among others.
United Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Ventura County (UWLC) appreciates continued support: Amy L. Fonzo, Vice President, Resource Development, United Way of Ventura County, at AFonzo@vcunitedway.org or (805) 485-6288 ext. 230.
Fiamme Restaurant & Bar blends the heart of Italy and spices from around the world, with American ingenuity and transforms “dining out” into an extraordinary journey. For reservations and information, call 805-497-9444. fiammerestaurant.com.
