From the folks who brought you SAMBA in Redondo Beach, the new SAMBA Brazilian Steakhouse & Lounge where you can experience traditional gourmet Brazilian cuisine, join the conga line, dance the night away, and feel the rhythm of Brazil, is launching with the sizzle of a hot Brazilian night on Wed., Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
Join in as Brazilian martial arts champion attempts to break the world record on a “Kick to the Moon” jump. Universal CityWalk spices up its eclectic culinary offerings with the addition of Samba Brazilian Steakhouse & Lounge and a dynamic record stunt—a leading Capoeria martial arts champion’s under the direction of world-renowned Capoeira master, Mestre Boneco, who will attempt to break the height record for a “chute na lua”, or kick to the moon. Capoeira is a highly visual, Afro-Brazilian art form that combines elements of martial arts, music and dance.
Then 40 exotic Rio Carnaval bikini dancers will perform under the L.A. moonlight, followed by a toast to the newest CityWalk restaurant.
Admission to CityWalk is free, and the festivities will continue throughout the holidays as Christmas brings a tree lighting ceremony, celebrity guests, and bands and concerts.
