Great Beaches to Do Lunch in California

Posted by: Beach Reporter In: beaches| california| dining| travel

When my girlfriends call and want to do lunch, we have a list of places to check out. The list only grows, rather than gets shorter through time. That’s because so many new restaurants pop up at beaches along the coast. Some of the favorite girlfriend spots are in Laguna Beach where many mid-priced meals offer gourmet fare that goes up in price at dark. Most restaurants are located along Coast Highway in Laguna. The Mosaic Bar at Montage Resort offers stunning views and sandwiches that you can still afford.

In Redondo Beach, the Redondo Beach Pier and Kings Wharf are the spots for over 40 ocean view restaurants with affordable fish menus. I had a great meal at Maison Riz, but there are many places to try.

In Long Beach, we “gals” like to eat at PF Chang’s on the waterfront at Rainbow Lagoon.

In San Diego C0unty, there are many eclectic taco stands, sandwich shops, and some favorites with the ocean practically hitting your table such as the Beach House in Cardiff by the Sea. One place that diners rave about, is the Marine Room in La Jolla. Sunday brunches seem to be one of their best deals.

For those who love the ocean and love to eat with the waves as your scenery, there are dozens of great restaurants serving decent food and even a few with affordable prices that even we girlfriends can afford on a budget in Southern California. When it comes to the Bay Area, that’s a another story that the food expert, GraceAnn Walden will have something to say about.
