Casa California, A Dream Home Raises Funds in OC

Casa California, the 2009 Philharmonic House of Design, a stunning new home in the prestigious custom home community of Irvine’s Shady Canyon closes November 8. Public is welcome 10 am to 4 pm with extended hours to 9 pm on Thursday. Tickets are $35 and there is free parking with complimentary shuttle service from the upper lot of Quail Hill Community Park, 35 Shady Canyon Drive (entrance off 405 freeway at Shady Canyon exit), Irvine, California. Presented by California Homes Magazine to benefit the Philharmonic Society’s Youth Music Programs, the House showcases the top designers from Los Angeles and Orange County. The House is open every day except Monday for a fun day of terrific design ideas, cafe catered by Golden Truffle, dazzling boutique, enticing opportunity drawings, plus one more Wednesday afternoon design lecture and Thursday evening to meet the designers.
The House of Design is the largest single fundraiser for the Youth Music Programs and is essential to the continuation of the acclaimed education programs. Bringing the gift of music to Orange County, the Philharmonic’s Youth Programs offer over 1,500 presentations by professional musicians and trained docents, at no charge, to all public and private schools in the county. More than 200,000 Orange County students, from kindergarten through high school, participate yearly.
