Legendary Surfing in the USA at Rincon, CA

As you veer around the bend in the road while just passing over the border between Ventura and Santa Barbara County, California on Interstate 101, you may quickly glance down and notice an amazingly large number of surfers in the Pacific Ocean below. Located north of the Oil Pier that stretches far into the water, you discover that this is the famed Rincon Point. If you are a surfer, it’s likely you know about it. If you love the surfing culture, exit Bates Road and pull into the parking lot where the sign says, Carpinteria State Beach, Rincon Point.
Known for three sets of wave breaks, Rincon is considered one of the most consistent spots in California to catch a wave and ride it. Offering several opportunities with three breaks, surfers can head for the water and get more surfing done in the shortest amount of time of just about any place in the U.S.
