West Hollywood Weekend “Drag” Race & Doggy Costume Contest

The annual event, the West Hollywood Drag Race is coming. It includes men decked out in their 6 inch heels (could be 9 or 10 inch heels, as well,) and will be running with their best female costumes, looking cuter than a button during the race that brings a new meaning to “drag racing”. The weekend of West Hollywood fun includes the Oct. 24 - Halloween Youth Carnival which will be held at West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 3 tol 6 p.m. Kids can come with parents, wearing their best costumes for a chance to win some great prizes. Yes, kids the night of fun is finally here for you to enjoy the carnival rides, game booths, entertainment, moon bounces, candy and prizes. Admission is free. On Sunday, October 25, the competition continues with the Doggy Costume Contest. For those who have never strolled along Santa Monica Blvd. or Roberson, the dogs in WeHo are treated better than children, and the costumes promise to offer some extraordinary flair. The event will be hosted at West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA at 1 p.m. A Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to all participants. Prizes for guardians and pets will be awarded in several different categories including: Scariest Costume, Look-A-Like Pets (and guardian), Most Creative Costume, Most Colorful Costume and Best Costume. Admission is free. All pets must be in good health, retrained by leashes (or other means) and have ALL applicable immunizations. Proof of immunization must be shown to register. Admission is free. Next, the West Hollywood Drag Race and Beauty Pageant is back on Sunday, October 25 on Santa Monica Boulevard at San Vicente, West Hollywood, CA beginning at 4 p.m. Break out those heels (2 inch minimum) and get ready to run for the checkered flag. Prizes will be awarded for 1st — 3rd place. Not a sprinter? Not to worry! The drag strip will serve as the catwalk for you to strut your stuff for fabulous prizes at the Drag Beauty Pageant after the races. This event is FREE to all competitors and spectators.
