Hollister California — the City, the Saddle

Hollister, Calif.–When Hollister name began appearing in stores throughout the US, locals laughed and said that the image of surfing and waves was nice, but it didn’t exactly capture the flavor of a small community in Central California. And, when the clothing chain named Hollister contacted the town and its merchants, it said they had to stop using their own name. Now that’s a rub!
Hollister, the city, actually is a quaint place full of charm, though it isn’t on the Pacific Ocean and nothing about it resembles the broadcasts of oceans and surfing pumped into stores where mostly youthful clothes are sold.
But something quite unique about Hollister (the city), is a totally different product for a unique demographic.
