California Fairs, Festivals, and Celebrations on Sunday, July 19

Posted by: Beach Reporter In: california| events

Do you love a fair? This is the fair season and in California, you can attend at least three this weekend. Costa Mesa is hosting th Orange County Fair, one of the best attended fair events in the State of California. Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton and Santa Barbara County Fair in Santa Maria cover the state from south, central and north. If you love pigs, livestock, snacking on tasty foods, watching shows, looking at contests, winners, demos, displays, taking thrill rides and generally being overwhelmed with sounds, smells, and sights, this is the event you should check out!

Atascadero’s 4th annual Lavender Festival at Green Acres Lavender Farm is on its last day, Sunday, in Atascadero. If ever there was a place that embodied healthy living, this farm is it.   greenacreslavenderfarm.com

Grass Valley and Guerneville may seem worlds apart (one’s in the gold country and the other in wine country redwoods) but on Sunday, each hosts music festivals featuring top artists. The music never stops till Sunday comes to an end.

Two US Opens are being held this weekend. One involves surfing and the other includes sandcastles. Huntington Beach U.S. Open of Surfing will continue for a week through next weekend, while Imperial U.S. Open of Sandcastles will feature a grand finish tomorrow with over, 100,ooo attendees.

San Diego is having a Pride Festival tomorrow, Seal Beach Lion’s are having a Fish Fry, Sunol features train rides, and Weed is all about spirituality and abundance. If there’s one thing that’s not lacking this weekend, it’s an abundance of festivals, concerts and fairs throughout the state. Nobody ever said California is boring.
