Huntington Beach Chili at the Beach Winners Announced

On Saturday June 20th, 2009 and Sunday June 21st, 2009 also known as Father’s Day Weekend The 2nd Annual Surf City Huntington Beach Chili At The Beach Event occurred in Downtown Huntington Beach on Main Street. On Saturday people got to taste 17 different restaurants chili recipes. The winners were announced from Huntington Beach Mayor Keith Bohr and were: Best Tasting Duke’s “Hawaiian Luau Pork Chicken Chili”, Most Enthusiastic Aloha Grill “Halekala Heat”, Most Creative HB BREW “Watch Out For Your Backside”.
At this two day weekend event lots of activities happened, like an artist exhibit, a centennial birthday card for people to sign, a business expo, inflatables for the kids to play on, trikes, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Classic Cars, a jousting competition, a rock climbing wall and lots of entertainers. On Sunday The Nocturnes Surf Band Played and people loved their music. A Portion of the proceeds from the event are being given to CHOC’s Little Mermaid Guild.
