Westminster
California beaches - Westminster is
beach-close. Though there is no beach on site, you can drive a mere 15 minutes
and be on the beach, sunning, tanning and even sailing away to Catalina Island
(the drive to the Catalina launch points is a bit further -- it's at the harbor
in Long Beach.
Westminster feels the ocean afternoon breezes and residents and tourists staying
in affordable hotel accommodations in Westminster opt for the freeway close
proximity to two major freeways--Garden Grove 22 Fwy and 405 San Diego Freeway.
Westminster is a culturally diverse city with strong Asian populations and the
largest Asian Shopping mall influenced by the Cambodian and Vietnamese cultures,
crafts, foods, jewelry and goods.
While Westminster reminds us of some British locale, and indeed, City Hall,
where you'll find the Orange County Courthouse, does have a British theme going
somewhat, the Korean, Hispanic, Cambodian, Caucasian and various cultures that
form this diverse community offer richness in shopping and dining.
So where to beach in Westminster? Our
favorite two beaches are
Huntington Beach and Seal
Beach. Both offer sand beaches, restrooms, showers, easy parking, shopping,
food vendors on or near the beach and a day's worth of fun. Westminster beach
options are rich and plentiful, so if you're planning a Westminster beach
vacation, just know that you can get to the beach in quick order.
