Video of Making Shave Ice at the 4th of
July Expo Huntington Beach California
Huntington Beach 4th of July
Parade Expo includes food, soft drinks, chips, candy and everything
delicious. The owner of the Tropical Shave Ice business creates the famous,
most popular Rainbow Ice that the crowd loves. We call it a snowcone but
shave ice indicates a finer texture ice.
While some July 4th events are
overcast and cool, in July 2007 it was hot! Weather in the 80s is quite
unusual at the beach so ices and drinks are quite popular for those who
seek something cold to wet the dry, parched mouth and throat.
On the hot summer days, it is wise
to drink lots of water to keep your body hydrated.
The Huntington Beach 4th of July
Parade is billed as the largest 4th of July Parade west of the
Mississippi. In existence for over 100 years, it includes marching
bands, floats, celebrities and civic groups. The attendance is
estimated at around 150,000 to 250,000. The day is launched with a
pancake breakfast, 5K run, parade (around 10 a.m.), expo, street fair
(on Main Street), and the fireworks show at Huntington Beach Pier around
9 p.m.
