Long Beach Video of a drive along Ocean Avenue show high rise
buildings, the historic Breakers building, Long Beach Arena and people
walking.
The video of Long Beach downtown
Ocean Avenue shows a view from a car driving along the boulevard,
looking up at the high rise commercial and residential buildings. Those
who know and love this city of around 500,000 population, share a strong
passion for its history, its buildings and its Bohemian flavor as the
international city.
In the video, the car passes by
the popular dining and nightlife area of Pine Avenue, which also is the
street where you'll find Long Beach Convention Center. The trek
began in San Pedro with a visit to the Red Car trolley ride. After
heading over the big green bridge to Long Beach's downtown area, the
massive expanse of port containers from China that could be seen from
the vista made it very clear that Long Beach is tied to the world
economy in a big way. It has the look and feel of a big city, and offers
the amenities of a port. Queen Mary is docked in Long Beach harbor. And
you'll find a Carnival Cruise ship departs from there as well. Plus, you
can take a Catamaran to Catalina Island or hop aboard a helicopter for a
ride over.
But in our car, driving along the
Avenue, Long Beach looks like a city of height and character. The next
time you visit, be sure to put a stop at Long Beach on your list. You'll
enjoy it.
