The drum circle or a version of it can be found at most California
beaches if the weather is warm and there's a crowd. It makes an ideal
event for beach parties and corporate events.
The drum circle or
session is not unique. Many bring their bongos and other
percussion to the beach at night, or on the weekend and meet
up with their drum friends.
It is a completely casual
gathering where none are denied a chance to pound, thump or beat, and as
a party idea, why not set up drum circle for fun? With guests
allowed to sit down and play a percussion instrument of choice, things
get quite interesting. Seen in video is a drum circle that did, indeed,
have a leader in charge of the toys. She kept a set of drum sticks in
her back jean pocket and kept the instruments circulating for crowd
enjoyment.
The best method for putting one
together for a party or corporate event is by inviting folks to bring
their percussion instruments. There are some party planners who have
instruments in their stock, or have resources to renting them.
