Chili Cook-off contest teamwork can be key in big events where the public pays to sample the chili.

Chili Cook-Offs are all about the teamwork. Especially on events where the public can purchase a ticket and taste the recipes that are made.

"Is this your first time?" asks a lady sampling chili at one booth where the team all wears shirts with chili peppers on them? "It's the most asked question, one of the team members tells us. She said their team succeeded by having a leader, Tony. They weren't supposed to do anything without asking Tony. What a support system!

This chili cooking competition was a good-spirited event to raise money for programs for the community. Many chili cook-offs in California  are like that. But then there are the chili cook-offs that are for the recipe to win, and the team to earn cash prizes, plus recognition.  Either way you serve up a chili cook-off, it's pretty tasty.
