Ukiah Beach Vacations are a Pleasant Drive Away on the Mendocino Coast.

UKIAH, California is located in Mendocino
County's Russian River Valley. Located about 90 minutes from the Mendo coast
by car, the nearest beach towns include Point Arena to the southwest and
Mendocino to the northwest.
Known as a lush wine growing region, the influences of Sonoma and Napa nearby spread into this region where an eclectic lifestyle and closeness to nature provide an oasis of escape for those just far enough away from the Bay Area to visit when they like, and head home to the woods for R&R.
Ukiah, California is geographically encircled by the coastal ranges, and
nestled in the Yokayo valley in southern Mendocino County. Situated on the
busy Highway 101 corridor, Ukiah has managed to preserve its small-town feel
while acting as a focal point for business and culture throughout Northern
California.

* Sundays in the Park
* Ukiah Country PumpkinFest
* Moonlight Movie Madness

A weekly event, Ukiah Farmer's Market, goes each Saturday
from 8:30 a.m. to Noon: Ukiah Farmers Market
Ukiah's local farmers created the first "certified organic" farmers market
in Mendocino County in 1977. It is the largest Farmer's Market in Mendocino
County. The inland climate of the Ukiah provides farmers with conditions
ideal for seasonal fruits and vegetables. This market features events for
the whole family several times a month. Many residents come to enjoy the
friendly atmosphere where talented musicians entertain weekly. mcfarm.org
