Somebody has too much talent, as evidenced
in the picture above of the lighted Huntington Harbour Cruise of Lights home
decorated to a tropical Christmas theme.
In addition to Santa wearing shorts,
shades, Hawaiian shirt and playing a guitar (all created from lights and painted
scenes), Santa Claus is surrounded by flamingos made of holiday lights, plus
ocean creatures such as dolphins with Santa hats, and squid.
Palm trees and candy canes surround the
aquatic scene with ocean themes, making this one of the most fun homes to see
during a recent holiday.
The lighted home appeared in Huntington
Beach's residential channels called Huntington Harbour. Many residents
decorate their homes for the public to enjoy in a lighted Cruise of Lights fund
raising event that is available for touring by boat or gondola. Our friends Tim
& Tyson of Sunset Gondola offer amazing gondola rides around the harbor, or you
can board a boat for 45 minute narrated tour sponsored by the Huntington Harbour
Philharmonic.
You can also rent a Duffy boat on Pacific
Coast Highway and steer your own cruise to see the lights. Any way you
dish it out, the lighted homes are well worth hopping aboard a vessel of some
sort to enjoy the splendor as the lights reflect on the water in Huntington
Harbour.
