In the picture of the
surfer leaving the water, this beach photo portrays the
orange curtain, a description of Orange County.
Black on the top and
bottom of the photo appear to form a shade or curtain
with a surfer sandwiched in the center, draped in orange
light from the ocean.
This picture is
doesn't appeal to people who prefer literal translations
of beach sunsets and those golden, glowing suns, we've
heard from feedback of viewers. But if you can place
yourself into a warm December night (around December
10), the air is around 72 degrees and there's a tropical
feel to the beach. Then you watch hundreds of activities
and people moving in this slice of orange color. You
can't see their faces...only their shapes and the shapes
of items they carry.
It's like taking a
bath in this dark orange light with the black
surrounding it and creeping in. It's kind of
eerie, kind of neat to look at, and really fun to take
pictures in.
