TV News Legend Stan Chambers "Wows" Them At HB Central Library

On Friday, April 25th, famous Los Angeles TV journalist Stan Chambers spoke to a packed crowd at the Huntington Beach Central Library about his exciting new book, "KTLA's News At Ten - 60 Years With Stan Chambers." He talked about his amazing career in broadcasting, which included, "Breaking" The Rodney King Beating Story That Shocked The Nation.

The Multiple Emmy Award-Winning reporter has covered more than 22,000 stories for the same TV station, since 1947. Huntington Beach & other Southern Californians thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Stan.

Video shows Stan Chambers discussing his experiences as a news anchor on KTLA in Los Angeles, documented in his new book, News at 10.

You can read more about the book at www.behlerpublications.com.

People reminisced over things such as how Chambers was a member of their families since they watched him daily throughout their lives. While sharing their memories of watching him, Chambers glowed with enthusiasm and remembered the early days of TV news in Los Angeles along with those who stood in line to purchase a book and get it signed. There's not a nicer or more professional gentleman--no matter how you spell it, one word or two--around. In his fascinating book you'll read Tom Brokaw's heartwarming comments about Stan; the funny story of how grandson Jaime Chambers ended up as a KTLA newsman, and many incredible stories that made national headlines.

Many thanks to The Friends Of The Huntington Beach Library for inviting Stan to be a speaker, along with freelance writer Chip Jacobs, who spoke about his sensational new book, "Wheeling The Deal, The Outrageous Legend Of Gordon Zahler, Hollywood's Flashiest Quadriplegic."
