Cruizin' with Your Pet in Santa Cruz
SANTA CRUZ, CA –Santa Cruz with Your Dog, then share a bite!
Dog-friendly restaurants in Santa Cruz? Bring your pooch and find out on a
free weekly walk with Woofers & Walkers! Every Sunday in a different Santa Cruz
County locale, the walks last for about an hour and a half, then we enjoy Yappy
Hour at a local restaurant with our dogs.
“I am so thrilled with the response,” says Whitney Wilde, “there have been
over a dozen restaurants that have changed their policies and we have discovered
some great new places to walk our dogs! We have fun and build a community of
responsible dog owners at the same time.”
Walks are on Sundays and start at 10:30 a.m.
Please call before you attend your first walk, as walk locations may change
according to the weather.
The walks are free, but you are responsible for their own Yappy Hour bill.
Some of
the guidelines are:
- Dogs must have current vaccinations and be of a non-aggressive nature.
- Unaltered dogs are allowed by permission only.
- All dogs need to recognize basic commands, such as sit, stay, heel and
come. Owners must be in control of their dogs at all times.
- Dog owners must pick up after their pet.
Woofers & Walkers is a collective of responsible dog owners that enjoy having
fun, getting exercise and sharing a meal along with their pooches.
