Santa Barbara's pier is known as Stearns Wharf. It
is a beautiful wooden structure framed by mountains
and palm trees. Sunset photos of this California
pier are easy to take when you good vantage points.
If you've not
visited Santa Barbara at sunset, it may well be
worth an overnight stay to enjoy this lovely place.
Of course, it always help to have some sunny weather
with clear skies, and to stay in a hotel with a good
vantage point and nice room overlooking the bay.
The photograph
above shows Stearns Wharf in all its glory with
orange and purple skies. The long wooden structuree's
silhouette is partially obstructed by the stately
palms that line the pier. Santa Barbara's palm trees
provide elegance and grace to this beach city some
say is in Southern California, but is mostly
recognized as being located along the Central Coast.
Part of a region that enjoys a more rural atmosphere
with wineries, farms and nature that abounds, the
city of Santa Barbara actually is cosmopolitan, as
well. What makes it so is the close proximity to Los
Angeles and movie studios. Many celebs live in Santa
Barbara County in and around the city, allowing for
the best of both worlds. Shopping, dining, and these
million dollar views afforded from hotels make Santa
Barbara a much sought after vacation, wedding venue
and resort destination for even corporations.
The picture
above shows boats moored in the bay, unique lantern
lights that hang from posts along the wharf, and
large palms that reach to the sky.
When visiting,
be sure to check out the hotel and ocean view suite
where this photo was taken at
Harbor View Inn. It is well worth it! Very nice,
indeed!
