Pacific Grove, Calif.--Oh deer...if you love
watching deer, Pacific Grove is a wonderful place visit. Right outside your
hotel room, or playing on the public golf course next to Asilomar Beach are deer
wandering in the forests and on the greens munching berries and grass. Pacific
Grove is a coastal destination near Monterey Bay Aquarium where the main
attraction is Monterey Bay, the wildlife, forests, ocean vistas, beaches and
golf.
Why do people come to the
Lighthouse Lodge? The prices are affordable, and these deer roaming in the
cemetery next to the hotel are so sweet. They're slightly shy and like to keep
to their natural ways. But with a camera in hand and a chair on the deck of your
hotel room you get the best spot in town for watching these agile, graceful
creatures.

The hotel is a comfortable, non-pretentious place. It's been
tucked in the forests just down the street from the beach for decades. Afternoon
BBQs are simple. Hot dogs, maybe a little chicken, burgers, or whatever they
happen to be serving greets guests. Kids and adults don't complain when they get
a chance to eat some of America's favorite bites. The event is held at a dining
room in the hotel where breakfast is also self-served.
From this great location you can rent bikes and ride the beach
path, take strolls, watch the sunrise and sunset, drive to 17 mile drive for a
beautiful tour of the most scenic beaches and golf courses in the world, and and
head on over to Carmel for some serious art gallery exploring and boutique
shopping.
Pacific Grove is one of the ideal homes away from home with the
great prices to save money so you have more to spend on meals, shopping and gas
for the drives you'll want to take around the area. It's one of our favorite
beaches in all of California.
