Orange County beaches map above stripped away all the roads to show simply the location of each beach city in Orange County in relation to Los Angeles, San Diego and Disneyland.

From north to south the cities are Seal Beach, Surfside & Sunset Beach (communities), Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Corona del Mar (community of Newport Beach), Laguna Beach, Dana Point and San Clemente.

The distance from the northern to southern Orange County beaches is approx. a 40 mile span.  Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, it is possible to drive on Pacific Coast Highway (1) and see the ocean a large portion of the distance. The scenic drive includes many stoplights, but is quite enjoyable.

How far are the Orange County beaches from the original Disneyland?  On the map above you'll see that Disneyland is approx. 17.5 miles or 28 km from the closest beaches: Seal Beach, Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. The quickest beaches to get to from Disneyland are Seal Beach and Newport Beach, taking approx. 22 to 27 minutes in normal conditions. Because there is no direct freeway to Disneyland from Huntington Beach, you drive mainly on city streets and that adds another 8 to 10 minutes (approx.)

How far are the beaches from the airport?  From Orange County Airport, the closest beach (Newport Beach), is about 7 miles (11 km) and takes about 12 to 15 minutes to get to. While you'll actually be in Newport Beach surrounding the airport, the beach requires a short drive.
