Orange County beaches are some of
the most luxurious beaches in the
United States.
Not the East Coast
beaches with humidity, alligators,
bugs
and hurricanes, these charmed West Coast
beaches feature drier, cooler
temperatures, less bugs, bites and
no hurricanes. With very few
exceptions, Orange
County, California beaches are
accessible and open to the public.
The privileged Orange County beaches
of Southern California enjoy
priceless land values, scenic
vistas, long sandy expanses and
affordable pleasure, making them top
visited destinations worldwide.
Hot off the press
are two things to
hook you on these
beach experiences.
One is a
beach sunbathing
video.
Orange County
beaches are
contained within six
cities, two
unincorporated
communities and
several neighborhood
communities within
incorporated cities.
It gets a bit
confusing, but when
you visit, you'll
hear about places
such as Corona del
Mar. It has its own
chamber of commerce
and seems like an
independent beach
city...but is really
a part of Newport
Beach. The
incorporated Orange
County beach cities
include from north
to south Seal Beach,
Huntington Beach,
Newport Beach,
Laguna Beach, Dana
Point and San
Clemente.
Communities outside
the bounds of
incorporated cities
include Sunset Beach
and Surfside.
Beach communities
such as Corona del
Mar, Newport Coast,
Capistrano Beach and
Monarch Beach are
local communities
proud of their
identities separate
from their cities
that provide their
services, collect
taxes, etc.
What's so great
about Orange County
beaches? The weather
alone makes people
want to pack up and
move to the beach,
but having
Disneyland and
California Adventure
theme parks, plus
Knotts Berry Farm
just a hop-skip away
(30 minutes by car),
you'll understand
one reason that
Orange County
beaches welcome over
25 million visitors
each year. It's a
common sight to to
see Japanese with
their video cameras,
Germans, Chinese,
South Americans,
Canadians, Brits,
Australians and
global travelers
flocking to these
treasured beaches
all year. The
weather in Orange
County (OC), and at
the beach is
heavenly...no snow,
seldom cold, warm
days (75 degrees),
breezy afternoons
and nights (down to
around 60 degrees
F.) And it's like
that all year long!
Winter clothes are
not part of the
attire in, except
for a pair of Uggs
or knitted cap worn
mostly for fashion.
While Hollywood films and TV shows
do much injustice to this mecca by
presenting a stereotype of spoiled
rich brats with breast implants, you
will see all types of people from
all economic incomes, all ethnic
backgrounds and all shapes and sizes
at the Orange County beaches.
Dispelling the myths that would
intimidate the average Midwesterner
from ever coming West to the OC,
we're here to paint a little
reality. Rich people exist
everywhere and per capita, Orange
County has not only some of the
wealthiest individuals, but also
many who live in poverty, according
to U.S. standards. The beauty
of the beaches are they are free,
fun and available to everyone of
every income, ethnicity, persuasion
and shape. If you notice a larger
than average number of beautiful
people, indeed, external beauty is
quite evident at Orange County
beaches. By the numbers, however,
the weight of the population and
demographic of Orange County is
changing. So we invite you to visit,
take a look around, sit yourself
down on your own spacious plot of
sand and relax. There's plenty of
room for everyone at the OC Beach.
