Newport Beach Kids
Vacations - the most fun beach for
kids to jump from little mounds down into the sand is Newport Beach,
specifically by McFadden's Wharf or Newport Pier.
Kids love just about any and
every beach in Orange County (one of several counties comprising
Southern California beaches). But the beach that seems to be the
most fun for kids of the youngster age (5 - 10), is Newport Beach.
Near the Newport Pier there are places where kids can build sand
castles (great!), but what they like best is jumping into the sand,
and this beach offers many opportunities for that.
Add to the enjoyment a row of
stores with convenience foods, soft drinks, pizza, sunblock,
souvenir clothes, and even some pubs for mom and dad to slip in and
grab a cold brew and sandwich. Then you have yourself a perfect
family vacation, pleasing everyone on board.

At Newport Beach peninsula
beaches (there are also beaches not on the peninsula such as Corona
del Mar beaches), the seagulls flock and swoop in gentle fashion,
making delightful, teasing play with the children who either ignore
them, chase them or mimic the gulls.
Socializing comes easy for kids,
too. Because there are so many families visiting on vacation and
selecting Newport Beach to stop and take photos, wander on the sand
or linger for hours, letting the children play, the opportunities
for kids to socialize are abundant. Further down the peninsula
from the beach shown above, you'll find a fantastic kids playground
right on the sand next to Balboa Pier.
Newport Beach hotels are somewhat affordable...ranging
to luxury and the greatest deal is that Disneyland is so close, you
can hear the fireworks at night from most Newport Beach hotels.
