Napa's Gaia Hotel is New, and Affordable

I like nice hotels at cheap prices, and finding them is rare. But what I do find is that other smart shoppers out there on the 'net' track down the goods.  One such deal came to my attention in a region I've been longing to get back to, Napa.

The hotel itself, Gaia Napa Valley Hotel, is in American Canyon. Recently built, this boutique style accommodation stands out for its ecology-minded practices and simple, yet upscale decor.  Located in American Canyon, the growing area of Napa Valley is just two miles from  Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (the theme park with whales, sea life and a zoo). American Canyon was once was  a roadstop and gateway to Napa Valley lined with produce shacks, but recently transformed into a suburb. New housing tracts, new hotels, and a location right on the fringe of the Napa wine trail provide a city setting not quite capturing the ambience of a B&B in the vineyards, but for price-minded travelers, what does that matter?
