A rock band, Jungle Juice, shown in the picture above, performed
at a fund-raiser in Sunset Beach. It's members play regularly
in Southern California clubs and sometimes have gigs elsewhere.
If you've never heard of
Jungle Juice, the band, shown performing in the picture above, they
are amazingly talented. Playing cover rock and tributes to the likes
of Led Zeppelin, several of their haunts are Perqs in Huntington
Beach and House of Blues in Anaheim.
Performing in a garage of the
shop/home business that sells collectibles, Sand, Sea & Jaime, the
band rocked Sunset Beach, performing at a holiday event. A solid
line-up of mostly Zep and classic rock tunes, we noticed from their
web site that they managed to get in another gig that night we saw
them.
If lead singer Henry Stone
looks familiar, he's been involved in the rock scene for quite some
time. Performing in L.A. area, he's also worked at popular rock
stations such as KROQ in L.A. and has appeared with bands Triple X,
One Stiff One and Spoiled Rotten. His vocal talent is apparent
as he effortlessly belts out solid sounds that bring a chill to your
spine if you favor rock classics. I waited for his voice to show its
limits and never actually saw that. The selections are well suited
to the vocal and musical talents of a group, that can rip, roar and
rock out a house if the crowd is up for it.
In addition to Stone, the band
includes Eric Von Blücker-Bass/Lead Vocals; and Louis Grivas - Lead
Guitar/Back-up Vocals. We didn't catch the drummer's name seen
performing with the band and he wasn't mentioned on the web site,
junglejuicetheband.com.
