Boys & Girls Club Huntington Valley
Annual Gala Raises Money for the Kids
Huntington Beach, Calif.―The
annual event that raises large sums of money for the Huntington Valley
Boys & Girls Club of North Orange County, California cities Huntington
Beach and Fountain Valley continues to raise the bar year after year for
donations, auction items and fun, all in the name of children.
Usually held at the beach at the
Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, the surroundings are
stunning, the auction items unique and the goal is worthy―to fund after
school and summer programs for youth. With so many parents working these
days, their children are in the hands of private nannies, babysitters
and organizations such as the after school programs at Boys & Girls
Clubs throughout the U.S.
If you have a choice, you'll
always prefer your child receiving great care, educational and exercise
opportunities and a safe, healthy environment free from harm. The
Boys & Girls Clubs have offered such a situation, programs and
opportunities for youth for over 30 years.
The fundraising efforts are
special events that can fill a community's social calendar, and that can
keep local hotels with meeting space, golf clubs with venues, churches,
auditoriums and meeting halls booked. Funding programs can be a
challenge, so it's especially rewarding to chip in and either attend one
of the events, donate gifts or send checks to special interest
organizations that serve the needs of your community.
This particular party has been
held in Huntington Beach in October for quite some time. The most
popular live auction items tend to be pets such as puppies. Among
the auction items you may find plane rides, helicopter rides, cruises,
Hawaiian Island vacations, spa treatments, golf clubs, kids toys and
countless other joys.
The participants of the Huntington
Valley Annual Fundraiser pictured above attended one recent gala. The
luminaries,
dignitaries, successful entrepreneurs and local volunteers of each
community are most often seen at such events. We try to post these events on our various community calendars, but just
in case we miss it, you can check out the web: www.bgchv.com/
