It's
only natural to have aerial photographs of
Huntington Beach, California. From my home in this
city, I can watch aircraft from three airports fly
overhead. On the direct take-off and landing paths
of Orange County Airport, Long Beach Airport, and
able to see the flights from Los Angeles
International Airport, the skies are busy all day
long. Sometime when you are on the phone, you
cannot hear the other party on the line. Sometimes
when you're taking a shower or eating dinner, you
swear you can see the pilots of the commercial
craft, and almost reach out and touch them.
In addition to
the commercial flights, it's possible to rent air
time and fly over the region by small airplane or
helicopter. Helicopters are not only a routine in
the skies of the Los Angeles suburb city where the
police department has their own air patrol, but they
helicopters routinely fly workers to and from the
offshore oil platforms within the city bounds. It is
much faster to fly than to take a boat just a few
miles out. And finally as helicopters go, the local
news channels run half a dozen helicopters
throughout the skies when there's some sort of
breaking news.
