HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Edison
High School needs money for
educational programs. Thanks to
corporate sponsors and the
community, the high school inches
closer to closing the gap on
underfunded programs such as
computers, printers, books, software
and even the Career Center, which
helps students plan their lives
after they leave high school. A
fund-raising event, Flash from the
Past Car Show helps raise money
for the needed programs and items to
help students.
In the video, corporate show sponsor for the
event, Flash from the
Past, Bob Granger of
Robert Granger
Insurance, Farmers
Insurance Group,
welcomes the crowd and
discusses the
fundraising efforts. He
also thanks the
corporate sponsors and
participants of this
annual car show event
held at Edison High
School in Huntington
Beach. Info: edisonhighfoundation.org
Bob Granger of Robert Granger
Insurance Agency sponsored a recent
Flash from the Past Car Show at
Edison High School in Huntington
Beach as a way of helping raise
capital for projects that have
suffered or been eliminated at this
school due to budget cuts. A drive
to raise $35,000 was earmarked for
outside tables placed in the shade
structure area where students can
relax and enjoy a bite to eat. You
would assume having this amenity at
a high school would be a basic, but
in budget crunches, all kinds of
things disappear or fall into
disrepair.
Thanks to community involvement, a
host of sponsors and community
nonprofit organization participants
came out to help the worthy cause.
If you would like to become
involved, be sure to visit the
Edison High School Foundation's
website and contact them. Each year
they hope to bring back the car show
and they hope it will grow.
Attending the event were event
planners for another car show
fundraiser held each year at
Huntington Beach Central Park. They
gave their support to the Flash from
the Past Car Show, as their car
show, Concours d'Elegance, also
helps youth with books and
educational programs in Huntington
Beach, California.
