Huntington Beach, California City Gym &
Swimming Pool Photos and Swim Info helps get you in shape
Huntington Beach, Calif.―If
you're looking for the old school pool, Huntington Beach's City Gym and
Pool offer that warm, cozy indoor feel and scent of chlorine familiar to
those seeking a place to lap swim or recreational swim. Because the
swimming pool is used so much in community classes from tiny tots to
seniors, you won't find the hours very generous for open swims.
Your best bet for an open swim and
lots of laps will be a private club pool, Los Caballeros, in Fountain
Valley. But for just a mild workout, try this city pool, Golden West
College master's swims, or even the Huntington Beach High School lap
swim sessions.
At City Gym, there's an indoor
basketball court you'll pass by to go to the change rooms and pool.
It's not a particularly large facility and though it's also really old,
it has undergone an earthquake retrofit and looks really nice.
Adult swim hours can vary but
generally are offered several evenings. Don't hold us to this schedule
below, because it was obtained as a sample and is most definitely
subject to change. But to give you an idea of how many hours of swimming
you may fit into your life, here's what was offered recently:
Adult Swim: Monday and Wednesday 8
to 8:30 p.m.
Fee: $2
All Ages Recreational Swim: Monday and Wednesday 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Saturday 2:45 to 4:45 p.m.
Fee: $2
Senior Swim: Friday 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Fee: FREE
