Huntington Harbour lighted homes,
townhomes and condominiums include Christmas themes with Santa Claus, snowflakes
and palm trees.
It's beginning to look a lot like
Christmas in Huntington Harbour when the Cruise of Lights harbor boat tours
bring happy girls and boy, men and women to the show. What "the show" includes
are the tremendous efforts of Huntington Beach's harbor residents resulting in a
twinkling wonderland of waterfront reflections, flashing lights, lighted shapes
and themes to decorate the holiday in contests that pit neighbors against each
other for grand prizes. The coveted awards include honor of being named "winner"
in themed categories.
How can you participate? By just being a
member of the public, you can see the lights without having to rent your own
boat and take a drive. The way you do it is by 1. booking a gondola tour with
your own private gondolier or 2. book a space on a yacht where you'll join 100
or so other riders to cruise the bay and look at the homes on a 45 minute tour.
Whatever you choose, the best way to see
the homes is by water, not by land. Unfortunately most Huntington Harbour homes
don't include view access areas and if you try to look at them from land, you'll
miss most of the views and decorated houses offered in the tour.
