Huntington Harbour Boats
"Let Freedom Ring with an inflatable eagle included patriotic themes at
several annual Cruise of Lights celebrations in Huntington Beach's Huntington
Harbour in Orange County, California.
Patriotic themes tied to musical themes
blend for an award-winning entry that, for several years, has won prizes in the
Cruise of Lights event. You may also see Yankee Doodle Dandy, an inflatable red,
white and blue character surrounded by strings of lights artistically strewn in
red, white and blue colors.
The annual Cruise of Lights celebration in
Huntington Harbour is a fund-raising event that each year successfully raising
thousands of dollars to support music programs and equipment for schools to
benefit students. While music programs have been drastically reduced or even
eliminated in recent years in California, Southern California where this Cruise
of Lights event is held attracts top musicians from around the globe to the
music capital in Hollywood.
Even in the Huntington Harbour where this
public boat tour is sponsored, recording artist successes abound.
Huntington Beach features its share of up-and-coming young talent, as well as
big band and jazz, rock and ethnic music stars from places such as Vietnam.
They reside in Huntington Beach, record locally or in Los Angeles, and their
music is heard around the world.
Perhaps that is why this musical tribute
is so fitting for a beach town that loves music served up many ways.
For tickets, the event runs annually
